The dates and times of final exams can be viewed at Course Listings, WebSTAC (student class schedules), and WebFAC (faculty courses and rosters).
Exam dates and times may vary by school and/or program–especially for graduate and pre-professional programs.
An exam code of No Final, Paper/Project/Take Home, Final Critique, See Department, or See Instructor means that an in-class final exam is not scheduled during the final exam period. Check with the instructor for details about end-of-term requirements.
Students are encouraged to check the final exam schedule during registration to determine how many exams are scheduled on a given day. Before arranging end-of-term travel plans, students should verify final exam dates and times with instructors. Students who may miss classes, assignments, or exams to observe religious holidays should refer to the University’s Religious Holiday Absence Policy.
The final exam is held in the regularly scheduled classroom when possible. However, students and instructors should check WebSTAC and WebFAC for updates on exam locations.
FALL 2023
Reading Days: Monday-Wednesday, December 11-13, 2023
Final Exams: Thursday-Wednesday, December 14-20, 2023

SPRING 2024
Reading Days: Monday–Wednesday, April 29-May 1, 2024
Final Exams: Thursday-Wednesday, May 2-8, 2024

Final exam dates and times are determined in one of two ways:
1) By the days and times that a course section regularly meets during the semester (standard meeting pattern)
- Classes/sections scheduled at non-standard times are assigned to the exam period corresponding to the closest standard meeting pattern.
2) Block exams are reserved for courses with large enrollment and multiple sections.
Example A: Standard Class Times:
If you are enrolled in a Fall 2023 class that meets on M/W/F from 1:00-1:50 pm, the final exam will be on Wednesday, December 20, from 1:00-3:00 pm (Exam Code XXIII – 23).
Example B: Block Exams:
If you are enrolled in Introduction to Psychology (L33 100B) Section 01 on M/W/F from 10:00-10:50 am or Section 02 on M/W/F from 3:00-3:50 pm in Fall 2023, the Block Final Exam will be on Tuesday, December from 3:30 to 5:30 pm (Exam Code XIX – 19). All Section 01 and 02 students will take the final exam simultaneously.
