WUachieve is the degree audit system jointly maintained by the Office of the University Registrar and participating schools.

WUachieve is used for degree audit in the Brown School, the McKelvey School of Engineering, the Sam Fox School, and the School of Continuing & Professional Studies. Undergraduate Arts & Sciences only uses WUachieve for majors and minors; degree requirements are tracked in PlanIt. The School of Law uses WUachieve for their JD program only.

Students in non-participating schools may not have access. Access is driven by the student’s primary school so dual degree students may have trouble accessing the system. Please reach out to the appropriate school administrator with questions.

FAQs

Below are some Frequently Asked Questions for both faculty/staff and students.

Is WUachieve a degree planning tool?

WUachieve can be used for degree planning, but is ultimately a degree audit tool, i.e. it processes already enrolled and completed coursework. Although the system allows for what-if audits (on programs that are not yet declared) it does not allow for what-if courses. Please continue to work closely with your advisor/advisee and the registration worksheet when planning courses.

I cannot access my advisees.

While much of the student data in WUachieve is real-time, some data is subject to an overnight load process. Advisor/advisee relationships update overnight. If you are unable to access a newer advisee, try waiting overnight. If you still cannot access the student, reach out to the appropriate WUachieve school administrator listed above. Advisors in the College of Arts & Sciences should contact the appropriate major/minor department.

I’m able to log in, but I don’t see new courses.

Because audits are a reflection of the student record at a single point in time, it’s important to always run a fresh audit. If courses are missing, please ensure you have requested a fresh audit. The audit should have a day/time stamp at the top.

I don’t see my waitlisted courses.

Waitlisted courses do not appear in WUachieve. The system displays only enrolled and completed courses. And remember, the system assumes any In Progress course (flagged with IP) will be completed with a satisfactory grade.

My Audit shows “In Progress”. I thought I finished everything.

An audit requirement will show an IP (In Progress) if any course appearing in that requirement is IP. This appears as a blue icon with three white dots. Sometimes the system will choose to use an IP course in lieu of a completed course. Sometimes the requirement does not allow excess courses to fall away and will retain IP coursework.

In any case, WUachieve is a tool for estimating your progress towards a degree. Your school will make the final determination regarding program completion. If you have questions about an In Progress requirement, please reach out to the appropriate WUachieve school administrator listed above. Students in the College of Arts & Sciences should contact the appropriate major/minor department.

My approved exception is not appearing in WUachieve.

Once approved by your school or department, exceptions should be entered into WUachieve by the exception processor in your area. Not all administrative users can make exceptions. Due to the limited number of exception processors, it may take several days to see the exception reflected on your audit. This is especially true in the spring as we prepare for May Commencement. Please be patient.

To check on the status of an exception in WUachieve, please reach out to the appropriate WUachieve school administrator listed above. Students in the College of Arts & Sciences should contact the appropriate major/minor department.
