The Office of the University Registrar provides notarization services for current students, staff, and alumni. Notarization services are available Monday – Wednesday, during regular business hours.
Diploma Translation and Notarization
To obtain an English Translation of a diploma, we ask that you send a copy of the paper diploma to registrar@wustl.edu or by fax to 314-935-4268. When sending a copy of the diploma, please include instructions of where to send the translated, notarized document.
The Office of the University Registrar provides this service free of charge, but please allow 7 – 10 business days for the notarization or translation to be completed.
Apostille
Alumni needing an Apostille must first make arrangements with the Secretary of State’s Office regarding payment, as they charge for this service. The Office of the University Registrar is not involved in the payment process.
Once payment is complete, send your Apostille request to registrar@wustl.edu. You must provide a copy of your original paper diploma and a cover letter that includes the Secretary of State’s full address, instructions for the Secretary of State, and any other arrangements you have made with that office. The cover letter will be sent along with the notarized diploma via USPS First Class Mail. Arrival of these documents to the Secretary of State can take 7 – 10 business days, excluding holidays and weekends.
The Office of the University Registrar provides the Apostille service free of charge. Please allow up to 10 business days for the Apostille request to be fulfilled.
